Life is a party, but so is the Super Happy Chemical Free Fun Night(SHCFFN)! Last Friday night, November 1, 2019, Team-up hosted our St. James’ annual SHCFFN. With DJ SpinX running the music and everyone dressing up for the costume contest, the night was endless. It was night jam-packed with lights flashing, people dancing, talking, eating, and just enjoying the night altogether. Many people even stopped to take pictures in front of the fall-themed backdrop with their friends.

The theme for the costume contest was a group, and many people participated! Anything from Frat Boys, to Pacman ghosts. The first-place winners were Social Butterflies winning a cash prize of $50.00!

Holly Malmgren poses for a photo after serving food at the dance

Holly Malmgren served cheesy chicken, water, and Chex Mix at the concession stand. Meanwhile, Team-Up members collected money and food shelf items from students walking through the red hall doors. Some even helped fellow students take pictures so that no one was left out. Many people were very happy with the turn out of the dance, but are hoping for more people to attend the next one. If you attend a future dance or activity in the future, bring four friends with you! The more the merrier!

Team-Up members collect non-perishable items for the food shelf

Money collected from the dance goes back into the Team-Up’s account and will go towards buying gifts for the sharing tree that will be coming up soon. This year’s sharing tree may be a little different due to there not being Shopko here in town anymore, but they are still expecting a good turn out because of all the money raised from the dance.
